VIDYA TIKARI: “It’s the perfect official look with absolutely no distraction in terms of colour. Sleek, polished and subtle-hued make-up never fails to give a professional appearance.”
- Start by applying foundation. Choose a shade that suits your skin tone the best. Apply it all over your face with a large powder brush. Remember to include the eyelids but exclude the area under your eyes. Blend the edges well. If needed, add loose powder to set and soften the look.
- Highlight the cheek area by applying a light blush just under your cheekbones, and try to touch the apples of the cheeks. Blend the blush well.
- Apply the eyeshadow followed by a thin line of eye liner. Coat the lashes with one or two coats of mascara.
- Apply a lip colour that best suits your skin tone as well as keeps your lips looking soft and professional.
VIDYA TIKARI: “This is a bronzed look, ideal for an outdoor afternoon look. the skin gets a beautiful and glistening sun-kissed look.”
- Start by applying base. Use a bronzing foundation for best results.
- Apply a concealer that suits your skin tone the most. Blend it well with a sponge. This will correct the under eye circles.
- Next, apply shimmer powder to highlight the check bones.
- On the eyes, apply a light eye shadow over the entire eyelid followed by a thin line of pencil eyeliner touching your lash lines. Smudge to set. Now apply a dark eye shadow along the lash lines and blend well. Complete the eyes with a coat of brown mascara.
- Finish the look with a natural, warm or earthy shade of lip colour to give your skin and eyes a bright lift.
VIDYA TIKARI: ‘This is of course a very dramatic look. The brows are more defined, eyes are more expressive and the lip colour quite dark.”
- Start by applying a base. Vidya used frost colour cream base from the eye lash to the brow bone.
- On the upper lid, of the eyes, apply a purple shimmer eye shadow moving slightly outward.
- On the lower lid, move inwards with a purple eye liner.
- Highlight your cheek bones with a highlighter. Apply a dark hue on the lips for that strong look
VIDYA TIKARI: “This is a defined look. The lips and the eyes have been done up to appear sensual yet looking quite sophisticated.”
- First and foremost, cover the dark circles and blemishes with a concealer pencil.
- Highlight the brow with a shade darker than the natural colour and shape it up.
- Apply a light shade of eye colour from the lash line to the brow.
- Apply a dark shade of eye shadow in the crease of the eyelid followed by a medium shade.
Blend this well. This will make the structure of the eyes appear stronger. Now apply a dark
Cleopatra-style eye liner from the same colour palette. Pat on some glitter eyeshadow on top to add sparkle to the eyes. - Finish the eye make-up by applying two coats of
mascara on upper and lower lashes. - Apply a medium to dark shade of powder blush under your cheek bones. Top the lighter shade with a darker tone over the apples of the cheeks. Blend out and upwards. (Vidya suggests to stay within your colour palette)
- Finish the look with a nude lip gloss.
